My faith colors my thinking. I am proud of my heritage as a Protestant Christian, but some elements of modern Evangelical Christianity disturb me.

I do not believe that God is a Republican or Democrat, and I think far too many Christians confuse toting the party line with being salt and light in our world. I also think there is a shocking amount of ignorance among well-meaning Christians about their own faith and what it means for their lives.

I'm far from perfect, but I try to be respectful as I stand for what I believe in.
